NC Pickle Festival Wins Big Awards at Showfest

The North Carolina Pickle Festival recently received two state-wide awards at the recent North Carolina Association of Festival & Events Showfest. This is the 23rd consecutive year that we have been recognized for our festival. These awards are for our 2017 festival.

Ashlin Glatthar, Wayne County Travel & Tourism Director (Best Event: Wings Over Wayne Airshow, Rising Star Award (new event within the last 5 years): Beak Week/Poultry Festival) and Julie Beck (NC Pickle Festival with Best Merchandise & Best Print Media).

We were recognized for Best Print Media for our Mount Olive Tribune tabloid and Best Merchandise for our pickle ornament. Wayne County received 4 awards overall with our tourism bureau, Wayne County Travel and Tourism, winning for their event Wings over Wayne Airshow and Beak Week/Poultry Festival!
